M\u00e4rz 1853 im Gran Teatro La Fenice aufgef\u00fchrt. Musica a Palazzo ist im Einklang mit den \u201ezeitgen\u00f6ssischen Anweisungen\u201c, die Verdi in der Urauff\u00fchrung wollte (die \u00c4rgernis wegen des frechen Realismus erregte).
\nDer erste Akt \u00f6ffnet sich im Portego (zentraler Salon) und die Zuschauer erkennen erstaunlich, dass sie die G\u00e4ste von Violetta (Traviata) sind: Mit ihnen sto\u00dft sie an und unter ihnen kennt sie Alfredo kennen. Der zweite Akt wird im Sala Tiepolo aufgef\u00fchrt, dessen Sch\u00f6nheit und Intimit\u00e4t der perfekte Ort sind, um die Feinheit der \u201einneren Rede\u201c der Hauptperson zuzuh\u00f6ren und sich wegen ihrer Wechself\u00e4lle zu erregen.
